In Uzhgorod Press Club, there was a press conference with the participation of the head of Mukachevo District State Administration Serhiy Haidai and Oksana Krechkovska, the head of Culture Department of Mukachevo DSA, on Mukachevo district ethnofestival "Bobovysche bunch."
The festival will be held for the first time on October 16, in the village of Bobovysche in Mukachevo district (at the village stadium). The beginning of the festival at 13.00.
Serhiy Haidai said: "We are launching the first annual ethnofestival. Now, almost all the organizations in the ditrict are working on it, many people are involved. We are planning to hold a vibrant holiday for the whole district. And we are inviting guests."
"We have planned to hold the festival in order to revive the wine-making glory of Mukachevo district. Because Bobovysche wine used to be famous far beyond Ukraine. The festival will begin at 13.00 with a solemn procession. Then, there will be workshops on wine making and other handicrafts of different villages in our district. There will be also a workshop on the making of barrels"- O. Krechkovska added.
During the festival, each village of Mukachevo district will great the guests presenting their traditions. By the way, the largest number of village councils is in this very district.
Today, nearly two dozen wineries plan to take part in the festival. Many of them have won international awards for their wine.
Guests of the festival will be the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir, folk band "Betyari", band "Marina and the Company", Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Sadvari.
Free bus trips from Mukachevo to Bobovysche will be organized for the festival guests.
