Hungarians with dual citizenship living outside Hungary will be able to express their opinion on forced resettlement of refugees in writing, the myhungary.net informs. This was stated in Subotica by the commissioner for citizenship Tomas Wetzel.
This means that about 762 thousand ethnic Hungarians in the Carpathian region, who took the oath and received Hungarian passports, can take part in the referendum.
Referendum against forced resettlement quota is expected to take place in September or early October. Participants of the referendum will have to answer the question whether the country should agree to accept migrants under the quota prescribed by Brussels.
