Epidemiological situation in Transcarpathia: ARVI and measles

The number of referrals to health facilities for acute respiratory infections over the past week decreased by 4.6 percent.
According to the regional epidemiologist Victoria Tymchyk, 3,489 people appealed to medical institutions, the incidence rate is 277 per 100 thousand inhabitants and is below the epidemic level by 35.4%.
In Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, the incidence rate is 547 and 489 per 100 thousand inhabitants, respectively, in Vynogradiv – 400 per 100 thousand inhabitants. The incidence rate in the city of Mukachevo and in Beregovo districts has approached the threshold levels.
The majority of patients (66.5%) are children under 17 (2,354 cases) and 33.5% are adults (1,135 cases). 66 people (1.9%) were hospitalized, the majority of them were children under 4 years of age (59% of all hospitalized people).
1,160 people have been vaccinated against influenza.
No new cases of measles have been reported in the region. Since the beginning of 2019, 2,378 cases of measles have been registered in the region, which is 189.2 per 100 thousand inhabitants. 1,521 of patients (64%) are children under the age of 17 and 857 (36%) are adults.
