Environmental safety of the region was discussed in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

Today, July 5, in the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library (Svoboda Ave., 16), there was a round table on the preparation and implementation of the "Environmental Safety Program of Transcarpathian region for 2017 – 2022. Effective action plan."

      The event was attended by heads of local governments, including the heads of united local communities, mayors and representatives of the communities that plan to uniten soon.

     The initiator of the meeting was the Charity Foundation "Development of Safe Life", which look for donors, organize environmental projects for interested communities.

During the roundtable, the founder of the Foundation "Development of Safe Life" Yana Bobrova told about the activities of the Foundation, the portfolio of projects and the development prospects.  Member of the Board of the Foundation "Development of Safe Life" Natalia Miokova presented financial instruments to attract international aid for various projects, including the construction of sewage treatment plants.

"We have a contrast between Europe which we strive to and Ukraine which we live in. We are not catching fish for you, we are giving you fishing rod" – the Foundation Board member Pavlo Danyliuk said during the lecture "Creating an enabling environment for integrated city development: advanced technology and experience."

    The guests from Kyiv offered representatives of local governments an effective clear plan to attract international donors to environmental projects in Transcarpathia. How they will take advantage of it remains to be seen.
