The ceremonial events for the Day of the Flag and the Independence Day were organized in front of the Transcarpathian Regional Council building in Uzhgorod. First, the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument to Taras Shevchenko took place. The Honored academic Transcarpathian folk choir performed "Prayer for Ukraine". Then, a solemn procession with a 100-meter-long State Flag marched from Narodna Square to the monument to the President of the Carpathian Ukraine, Augustine Voloshin. It was headed by the ensemble of the Donetsk regional police playing on the drums. On Nezalezhnist embankment, the participants of the procession laid flowers to the monument of Augustine Voloshin, then marched to Teatralna Square and united the two banks of the Uzh with the 100-meter-long banner through the pedestrian bridge. Festive events continued in the regional music and drama theater.
