Elections of national minorities will take place in Hungary on October 13th

The Hungarian National Election Committee (NVB) has announced the election of representatives of self-government bodies of national minorities in the country, the MyHungary.Net reported.

It will be held on October 13, and the election campaign will start on August 24. All 13 national minorities registered under Hungarian law are eligible to the election. Elections of national minorities are held in settlements where at least 25 people during the 2011 census declared that they belong to one of the national minorities. Based on these data, the National Electoral Committee (NVB) formed 2,715 polling stations, of which 1,383 are for Roma, 547 for Germans, 168 for Romanians, 158 for Slovaks, 136 for Croats, 63 for Serbs, 53 for Poles, 47 for Ukrainians, 44 for Ruthenians, 37 for Bulgarians, 36 for Greeks, 33 for Armenians and 10 for Slovenians.
