Last night, as a result of joint border guard operation, officers of the border guard service department "Luzhanka" of the Mukachevo border guard detachment, at a distance of about 200 m from the state border of Ukraine, arrested eight illegal immigrants (four citizens of Pakistan and four citizens of Afghanistan).
Also during the detention, the illegal migrants resisted the border guards, the border patrol was forced to make a warning shot in the air.
The detainees were taken to the border guard unit for making of administrative procedural documents and filtration and verification measures.
Further fate of the illegal immigrants will be resolved by court.
