Early music festival has opened in Uzhgorod today

Today, the festival of early music dedicated to the musical culture of past officially opened in the "Owl’s Nest" in Uzhgorod. 
The city Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv greeted the participants of the festival and the audience at the concert.     He also reminded that another festival is taking place in Uzhgorod now – "Monologues over the Uzh", so he invited guests to see shows tomorrow, to enjoy theatrical art. 
According to the organizers, "Ung Fortress" aims to draw attention to the cultural and historical heritage of the Carpathian region, as well as to initiate the practice of international collaboration of musicians in Uzhgorod. Musicians from different cities of Ukraine, as well as from Sweden and Belgium came to the regional center of Transcarpathia. 
In addition to concerts, the program includes a variety of events that will be of interest to both professionals and students of music, culture and art schools, anyone interested in the history of culture and music. The participants of the festival perform music on historical instruments (modern copies of musical instruments used in the past). There will also be master classes for musicians and amateurs, meetings with students, teachers, students, in particular in Uzhgorod Children’s Music School №1.  
The festival will last until September 28, the organizer is the NGO "UNG Fortress" with the support of Uzhgorod city council.
