Each exhibit at the exhibition of philatelists in Uzhgorod has its own little zest

The official opening with the cutting of the symbolic ribbon and the special cancellation of thematic stamps has taken place – today, the jubilee XV National Philatelic Exhibition was opened in Uzhgorod. The display was presented in the premises of the Transcarpathian Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater, it will last until October 1.

On behalf of the mayor of Uzhgorod, Bohdan Andriyiv, his deputy Oleksandr Bilak congratulated everyone on the opening of the exhibition.   

The opening of the exhibition was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Philately Society Hennadiy Budkevich, the head of the Transcarpathian Directorate of the "Ukrposhta" Serhiy Kaliy, the director of the Regional Music and Drama Theater Vasyl Mariukhnich.

The exhibition features the best collections of philatelists from Ukraine and eight European countries. Philately reflects art, culture, history. Stamps, envelopes, postcards from different countries, different times and epochs are presented at the exhibition. There are stamps that, for example, show the history of the Olympic Games, the beauty and grandeur of the Carpathian region, the nature; space themes, aircrafts, cars are also presented. It all depends on the interest of a collector. Each exhibit has its own little zest, history and at the same time it presents some information.
