During the night, border guards prevented several attempts of smuggling

Last night, border patrol of the department "Vylok" found near the border seven packages wrapped in black plastic bags.

Unknown persons probably planned to smuggle the cigarettes to Hungary across the Botar canal, which forms the border.

Border guards also detected potential offenders and, trying to detain them, made warning shots in the air, but they escaped. The packages, which contained 3,500 packs of cigarettes, were delivered to the Department of Border Guard Service "Vylok."

Another attempt of cigarette smuggling was prevented on the Ukrainian-Romanian border near the village of "Dilove". Thanks to exchange of information, border guards of the department "Dilove" of the Mukachevo Detachment and their Romanian colleagues found 10 packages of cigarettes and arrested a citizen of Ukraine.
