During the detention of offenders, border guards used weapons twice

Today, around 4.30, at the section of the border near Solotvyno, border patrol detected on the bank of the Tisa river a group of people in diving suits, who intended to smuggle packages of cigarettes across the border. Seeing the border patrol, the unknown men rushed to their heels. The border guards made several warning shots in the air from a device for shooting rubber bullets, but the perpetrators did not react. The law enforcement officers, in accordance with the law, used the weapons against the offenders, hitting one of them in the back. The violator was arrested. The border guards gave him first aid. At present, there is no threat to the life of the detainee. On the bank of the river, the border guards found four packages of cigarettes.

A few minutes later, a reinforcement group, which was called by the border patrol, stopped nearby a minibus with two citizens of Ukraine in diving suits. To stop the vehicle, border guards also had to make a few warning shots in the air from a Kalashnikov.

At 7.30, in the area of possible violation, border guards found another 9 packages of cigarettes. The investigation continues.
