During the day, three cars were burning in Transcarpathia – rescuers

During the past 24hrs, Transcarpathian firefighters extinguished three fires in cars.

Thus, the rescuers received the first report on July 17 at 18:56. In the city of Svalyava, on Verhovinska street, a "FIAT Scudo" made in 2008 caught fire.

Firefighters of the 9th state fire and rescue unit of the city of Svalyava were sent to eliminate the fire.   In a few minutes, they contained it, and at 19:08 eliminated it completely. The fire destroyed the engine compartment and damaged the bonnet and windshield.

Two more fires occurred on the night of July 18 in the city of Uzhgorod and the village of Mynai in Uzhgorod district.

On July 18, at 04:15, in the city of Uzhgorod on Chereshneva, a car "BMW 520" made in 2006 caught fire, and five minutes later, the rescuers received a report from Slovyanska street in the village of Mynai in Uzhgorod district.

To eliminate the fire, firefighters of the 14th and 15th state fire and rescue units were sent at the scene. In both cases, engine compartments were destroyed and interiors of the vehicles were damaged by the fire.

Causes of all fires are being established by law enforcement agencies.
