Drunk road accident in Beregovo: three women were hospitalized

Beregovo police are establishing the circumstances of a car accident in which three women were injured, the driver was detained 
 
According to the Official site of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, in the evening of August 31, at 19:00, the police received a report of an accident with victims at the intersection of Tinodi and Bako Gabor streets in the city of Beregovo. 
According to the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian Police, a 45-year-old driver of a Peugeot, a local resident, moving towards Fabrychna st., failed to take into account the road conditions and collided with a car Opel Vectra, which was parked on the roadside. 
“A 41-year-old passenger and two local residents, aged 19 and 42, which were standing near the parked vehicle at that moment, got injured as a result of the accident.  All the victims were taken to a local medical institution, the youngest victim is in the intensive care unit in a serious condition,” – the report states. 
A criminal proceeding was opened over the accident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules, which led to grave consequences). 
The driver was tested. According to the doctor, the man was in a state of alcoholic intoxication – 3.3 ppm of alcohol in the blood. The vehicles were taken to the impound lot of the police station. The driver was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. Today, the charges and pre-trial restraint against him will be determined. All the circumstances of the car accident will be established after forensic examinations.
