Drug dealers were caught in Uzhgorod and in Beregovo. One drug dealer was detained by the police red-handed – immediately after giving the goods to the buyer.
According to the official site of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, the police are combating drug crimes in Transcarpathia.
Thus, yesterday, on March 24, the police detained a 36-year-old resident of Uzhgorod who was selling methamphetamine, a dangerous psychotropic substance. The incident happened on Borodin Street in Uzhgorod.
Police officers apprehended the drug dealer immediately after the goods had been handed over to the buyer. The money received for illegal substances was seized.
“The criminal was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigators accuse him of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation or shipment for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal sale of drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues). In addition, police have obtained evidence of the man’s involvement in other crimes,” – the Communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police informs.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
In addition, thanks to the vigilance of the operatives in Beregovo district, methamphetamine was seized from illicit trafficking.
A suspicious man was noticed by the police around 3:30 pm on Lehotsky Street in Beregovo. During a search, a drug was found on the 35-year-old resident of Beregovo. Law enforcement officers seized the methamphetamine.
Investigators of the Beregovo Police Department opened criminal proceedings over illegal possession of drugs under Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The physical evidence was seized and sent for examination. The case is under investigation.
