Driving licenses issued in the USSR will be invalid

The law of Ukraine regulating the use of documents by citizens came into effect on December 6, 2012. In particular, this law provides that a driver’s license on forms approved by executive authorities of the USSR shall be invalid from January 1, 2014, the UNN reminds.

Thus, from January 1, 2014, driving with old driver’s license is actually the same as driving without driver’s license.

With reference to subsections of registration and examination work, the publication informs that currently the replacement of driving licenses issued in USSR is carried out without exams. To replace old driver’s license on must provide the following: a passport, a medical certificate, a photo 3 × 4, an old driver’s license and a document certifying its issuance (examination card).
