Deforestation in the territory of forest Transcarpathian region is taking place according to the planned forest management and with appropriate permissions. This was stated at the press conference by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Forestry and Hunting Industry Department Valery Murga, the Ukrinform reports.
He also said that the amount of logging in the region is the same as in previous years.
This information was confirmed by the First Deputy Head of the State Forestry Agency Khrystyna Yushkevich.
Commenting on the illegal cutting of forests, Mrs. Yushkevich noted that in Transcarpathia the chances of such cutting are minimized by e-accounting system.

But inspections carried out by working group consisting of representatives of the State Forestry Agency, the Ministry of Interior, customs office and the State Border Guard Service do not confirm this information.
