Disinfection in Uzhgorod buses: Carriers were informed of the coronavirus prevention measures

In connection with the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, a training on disinfection of bus salons and drivers’ safety was conducted today in the Uzhgorod city council for the carriers operating on Uzhgorod city routes.
The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv stressed that the danger cannot be underestimated, it is necessary to buy the necessary means, to carry out the treatment following the recommendations of specialists. If necessary, the city government is ready to provide the necessary assistance. Also, Bohdan Andriyiv instructed to hold meetings on such issues with the managers of supermarkets, shopping centers. It should be reminded that regular training on the prevention and counteraction of the coronavirus is conducted for city medical workers, including doctors and nurses working in educational institutions.
The Deputy Mayor Igor Fartushok noted that it is also important for carriers to be informed of what measures are to be taken so that people do not panic and are aware.
The head of the Uzhgorod City Council Health Department Vasyl Reshetar stressed that the virus is new, not yet sufficiently studied, recommendations on how to respond to it change from time to time, so it is planned to enter into an agreement with epidemiologists to monitor and adjust preventive measures, including those on the city buses.
The procedure and frequency of wet cleaning and decontamination treatment, the necessary means and places to buy them, features of soluble tablets, effectiveness of protective masks, etc. – all that information was brought to the attention of the carriers.
