Disaster relief measure are being taken in Transcarpathia

As the weather forecasters promised, the weather conditions in Transcarpathia were difficult and made people worry.
However, there were no casualties or significant material losses.
Thus, due to significant wind gusts, 7 settlements in the territory of Irshava district were left without power supply. But in the morning, electricians were already working to restore power supply, and now only part of Irshava remains without power supply.
In addition to the power lines, the wind toppled 3 trees: in Svalyava, the village of Kiblyary in Uzhgorod district, and the village of Zahorb in Velyky Berezny district.
In the latter case, the tree fell on the outbuilding.
No flooding occurred in the territory of the region, however, rescuers provided assistance to the people – pumped out groundwater from basements in the territory of two households – in the village of Strypa in Uzhgorod district and the city of Irshava.
Also, during the past 24hrs, SES units have assisted drivers in hauling 7 vehicles that could not drive on the Transcarpathian passes on their own.
