Dialogue is possible: Hungary and Ukraine have decided to forget the past and start from scratch

There is no alternative to the good neighborly relations between the Ukrainian and Hungarian peoples.

This was announced on Facebook by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.

"Hungary is our important neighbor. Peter Szijjarto is a colleague of mine with whom we have done much to bring Ukrainian-Hungarian relations out of a standstill and to have Hungary’s support in the EU and NATO. So when I learned that Peter had COVID-19, I immediately wrote him a text message wishing him a quick recovery. Peter read it and called back, thanked for the support. We had a good talk. About work, covid, life and football. Of course, about the latest problems in our relations," – Kuleba said.

"We both agree that we need to draw the right conclusions from what happened two weeks ago and continue to build a constructive dialogue. There is no alternative to the good neighborly relations between the Ukrainian and Hungarian peoples and our common European and Euro-Atlantic future," – Kuleba stressed.
