Detention of a crime group in Volovets district (PHOTOS)

During the special operation in Transcarpathia, two persons who tried to injure law enforcement officers were detained
February 8, 2020, at the approach to the post "Nyzhni Vorota" in Volovets district, operatives of the Special Investigations Department in Transcarpathian region, together with officers of the National Police in Transcarpathia, stopped cars, in which, according to operational information, the persons involved in the recent shooting could be riding.
Despite the orders of law enforcement officers, the car drivers tried to flee the scene and attempted to ran over the policemen.
During the inspection, weapons and ammunition were found. The Mercedes-Benz and the Toyota Land Cruiser were taken to the impound lot.
Both drivers – a resident of Transcarpathia and a resident of Vinnytsia – were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
The motives and circumstances of the crime will be established within the framework of the criminal proceedings with preliminary legal classification under Article 388 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer).
