Details of the detention of smugglers

In Transcarpathia, two Ukrainian wearing diving suits were conducting reconnaissance for smuggling of contraband cigarettes

In Transcarpathia, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment detained two violators. The unknown men, who were found on the bank of the Tisa river, 50 meters from the state border, were wearing diving suits. During the arrest, the offenders tried to escape, but they were immediately detained by the border patrol.

The men had no documents, however, they said that they were residents of Rakhiv district. AAlso, the young men said they were trying to see if there were any border patrols on the both banks of the Tisa river with the aim to smuggle tobacco products. The detainees were taken to the unit to draw up reports of administrative offense. The offenders will be judged in court.  

Recall that three days ago another such offender who tried to "pave" the way for cigarette smuggling had been caught by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment. The man wearing a diving suit was also detained by border guards near the Tisa river.  During the conversation, the "swimmer" said that he had been paid to cross the Tisa river and check for border patrols on the both banks.
