Destination – East! How Transcarpathian policemen in Uzhgorod were sent to the ATO (PHOTO)

The consolidated unit of Transcarpathian police departed from Uzhgorod to the East.

They went to replace the officers, who have served for a month in the area of ​​the antiterrorist operation. The task of the police officers, including a lot of former special forces, is to protect public order rather than to fight. Regional police management says: they are volunteers from different districts and different units, and in the ranks of Transcarpathian police, there are still many officers, who want to go to the front. At least, so said the temporary chief of Transcarpathian police – the Acting Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region Serhiy Sharanych, reporting – about one thousand Transcarpathian policemen are willing to go to the ATO zone.

However, they do not specify their destination, specific tasks and the actual number of those already on the way to hot Ukrainian East – they say, it is a military secret. The police officers were sent off with an orchestra and clergy. They were handed icons, crosses and children’s drawings as charms. The soldiers say that they want to return with victory and faithfully serve the motherland.
