As Uzhgorod.in informed yesterday, the regional campaign headquarters of the presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko is headed by Andriy Pogorelov – son of Victor Pogorelov, the former mayor and member of the Party of Regions. who was dismissed by members of the city council in February (with the support of the "Batkivshchyna" faction).
First, local representatives of the "Batkivshchyna" were refuting possible involvement of Pogorelov, Jr. in the campaign of Yulia Tymoshenko. But then, they were forced to confirm the information.
The head of the "Batkivshchyna" faction in the City Council Vasyl Hnatkiv yesterday told Uzhgorod.in that he was "to say the least, shocked" by this decision and emotionally expressed his desire "to send Mrs. Tymoshenko to hell." It seems, his rage has not subsided. This is what the deputy wrote on his page in Facebook.
"Yulia Tymoshenko has appointed the son of the former Mayor, the Party of Regions member Pogorelov – Andriy as the head of Uzhgorod campaign headquarters. Andriy is a deputy. Until February he was in the PR majority.
I’m shocked!! Deeply! I’m very depressed! I was committed to the party, but goodbye, Yulia."
I wonder how many local "soldiers" of the "Batkivshchyna" will say goodbye to Tymoshenko following Mr. Vasyl because of Mr. Pogorelov?
