The deputies plan to ban advertising of beer during the day and use images of children in political advertisements. In any case, these goals are defined as the strategic action plan of the Deputy committee of Ukraine on freedom of expression and information, infromed the KP.
Mykola Tomenko, in particular, is outraged by "glaring disregard for the laws on advertising (ranging from language articles and ending with covert advertising of vodka)."
At this stage, series of the bills that provide for amendments to the law "On Advertising" have already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
Tomenko admits that ban for advertising of vodka in the daytime, direct advertising of beer and the need to reduce the length of advertisements during movies and programs are obvious.
Furthermore, the Parliament may prohibit the use of images of children in political advertising, articulate the notion of "social advertising", restrict advertising of alcoholic drinks and beer, medicines, medical equipment, methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
