Deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council ask the government to take measures on financing for the construction of the bypass road

Of the city of Beregovo and the village of Astey to the international automobile checkpoint "Luzhanka" 
At the extraordinary November session, the deputies adopted the decision "On the appeal of the Transcarpathian Regional Council on the urgent financing for the construction of the bypass highway of the city of Beregovo and the village of Astey to the international checkpoint "Luzhanka", which was sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the People’s Deputies of Ukraine from Transcarpathian region. 
Its purpose is to further develop the border and roadside infrastructure of the region. 
Thus, the document states that the deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council repeatedly raised before the central executive authorities the issue of urgent financing of the construction of the bypass road around the city of Beregovo and the village of Astey to the international checkpoint "Luzhanka" located on the border with the European Union.  
The bypass road will allow to increase the transit flow of goods, will further develop the economy of the region and provide optimal transport connections between the countries of Europe and Ukraine. Implementation of the project for the construction of the bypass road of the city of Beregovo and the village of Astey to the international motorway checkpoint “Luzhanka” is one of the priority issues of the development of the road potential in the western regions of Ukraine and strengthening the good neighborly relations between Ukraine and Hungary.  
“In view of the above, we ask that measures be taken at the governmental level to finance the construction and commencement of works on the bypass road of the city of Beregovo and the village of Astey to the international automobile checkpoint "Luzhanka", as well as speeding up the reconstruction of the latter", – the appeal states.
