Deputies are voting for “social issues”

Uzhgorod city council session began with consideration of the "social issues." Those are draft decisions №1799-1817. 

Specifically, they adopted the program to support gifted students, to facilitate the enforcement of court rulings, on international cooperation in tourism development. Also, the program for restoration of the historic center, program of the city improvement were adopted. More funds was allocated for the Medical and Rehabilitation Center "Way of Life". Thus, the center will receive additional 700,000 UAH for its work. Of that, half a million will be used to pay salaries, the remaining amount – for food and utilities.

In addition, residents of houses in the downtown area will pay less for the repair of the facades. 

Previously, tenants would pay 10% of the cost of repairs. City deputies voted for the reduction of their share.  Also, the family of the former Uzhgorod mayor Rusnak and the family of the deceased hero Serhiy Martin will receive financial assistance. 

Before the 10-minute break, deputies transferred the dormitory at Kvity str., 1 to tenants (draft decision №1753), 32 deputies voted "for".
