Deputies approved the program “Care” to strengthen social security for 2015

Today, December 30, at the fourth plenary session of the Regional Council, deputies adopted the decision on the program "Care" to strengthen social protection in 2015. The financing of the activities for the program is to be done at the expense of the regional budget. The estimated amount of the funding for the Program is 18,233,400 UAH. And at the request of a deputy Anton Livrints, the deputies amended the document increasing the funds provided for the support of the ATO participants and their families from 3 to 8 million hryvnia. The purpose of the program is to implement the state policy in the field of social protection, to provide financial assistance to low-income, disabled, chronically ill citizens, large and single-parent families, pensioners, war and labor veterans, persons with disabilities including children with disabilities, and participants of the antiterrorist operation, wounded, injured (or one of their family members), families of killed residents of Transcarpathian region – participants of the antiterrorist operations, other citizens who, due to lack of financial support, are in a quandary and in need of social support from the state; to support civil society organizations of disabled and veterans; other civil society organizations; to finance other activities for social protection of the residents of the region.
