Deputies approved amendments to the budget of Uzhhorod

Today, April 17, members of Uzhgorod City Council, during the session, approved changes to the city’s budget for 2014. Therefore, the budget of Uzhgorod was reduced by 16.5 million hryvnias. 

16,537,000 UAH will be taken away from the budget of Uzhgorod. The corresponding changes were also approved by the Executive Committee of Uzhgorod City Council yesterday, April 16.

The budget of Uzhgorod for 2014 was again amended under the relevant decision of the Parliament. Deputies of Uzhgorod City Council approved the reduction of costs for education, health care, social protection, state administration – the Zaholovok reported. 

The field of education in 2014 will receive 6,219,700 UAH less than previously planned (now total funding for education in ​​the city for the year is 158,672,100 UAH).  Health care will not receive previously palnned 1,677,600 UAH (according to the changes in the budget, health care in 2014 will receive 73,062,700 UAH). Social protection and welfare will be decreased by 399,600 UAH, arts and culture – by 309,200 UAH, physical education and sport – by 95,400 UAH, the financing of public administration (salaries) – by 629,000 UAH.

As stated in the document, in general the budget expenditures for salaries will be decreased by 5,776,100 UAH, medicine – 285,500 UAH, nutrition – 105,500 UAH, payment for energy – by 364,400 UAH, other benefits to the population – 314,300 UAH, and other expenses – 2,295,200 UAH, including expenditures for the expansion of the network of preschool institutions, modernization of children’s playgrounds in general and pre-schools – by 2,111,700 UAH.

"Despite the reduction in costs, that are relevant to the intergovernmental transfers, the benchmark of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine is increased by 22,200,000 UAH" – the memorandum to the draft decision states.
