The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Vasyl Hubal informs about a somewhat special initiative, which is being launched in the region. It is the creation of defense units in Transcarpathia. The regional authorities act exclusively on the principle of openness and transparency, however, in this particular matter, it was a special situation where the decision was not announced in advance, as it is an issue of security and some information is classified.
We publish the order of the head of the RSA, which refers to the organizational processes for creation of the units. Defense units are being organized under the laws of Ukraine and regulations of the government. The goal is to ensure stability in the region and defense of the region in the event of a direct threat and prevention separatism activities. Defense units are being created in different regions of the state, in some regions they have already been formed.
The formation of such units is the issue of security in the region, our native land, protection of Transcarpathians. Avoiding unnecessary conversations about important matters related to the security in the region, the head of the region just said: "We know the current situation in the country and the region. Unfortunately, the enemy is watching. However, we can not make certain information public. I urge Transcarpathians in general and journalists in particular to be responsible about this matter. I assure you that it is in the interests of Transcarpathian region. I stress that everything conforms to the current legislation. I should also mention that all orders are checked at the Presidential Administration."
