Death under the wheels of a truck: Terrible road accident in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

The car accident happened on the Kyiv-Chop highway in Volovets district 
According to the Transcarpathian Police Communication Department, on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Bilasovytsia, a truck driver ran over a pedestrian. The victim died at the scene. The police opened a criminal proceeding over the accident 
“Yesterday, on November 18, at 20:20 on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Bilasovytsia of Volovets district, there was an accident that resulted in the death of a person.  
An investigative group of the Volovets Police Department was working at the scene. It was tentatively established that the driver of a truck Renault, a 56-year-old resident of Lviv region, had hit a pedestrian. The victim died at the scene. The victim was a 41-year-old resident of the village of Latirka, Volovets district,” – the statement reads. 
The police initiated an investigation into the car accident under Article 286 (2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, violation of traffic safety rules that caused the death of the victim. During the investigation, the police will establish all the circumstances and cause of the accident.
