Today, September 21, a meeting of leaders and members of veteran organizations in Transcarpathia to celebrate the Day of Partisan Glory was held.
Day of Partisan Glory in Ukraine is celebrated annually on September 22. The holiday was created to support the initiative of war veterans, to honor the heroism of partisans and underground fighters of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Veterans were also congradulated by the representatives of regional authorities, who assured that they would continue to support initiatives of veteran organizations and do everything possible so that veterans receive adequate assistance. After the official part of the meeting the participants attended the celebratory banquet.
