By the Decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko №511 / 2016 of November 19, 2016 "On state awards of Ukraine", a number of soldiers were honored for personal courage shown in the defense of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless performance of military duty.
Among them, soldier Gamsakhurdia David Mykhailovich was awarded with the order "For courage" of the III degree (posthumously).
Recall that in October David was defending the "Butivka" mine near Avdiyivka, where he came under mortar attack and was seriously injured.
