Telephone scams have become more frequent in the regional center of Transcarpathia. Criminals pretending to be bank employees call old people and report bad news.
Phone scammers are good "psychologists" because they try to take advantage of the emotions of their potential victims. Most often they prey on elderly people. A similar case happened in Uzhgorod yesterday. This was reported by social networks:
“Friends, yesterday they called my old grandmother and said that I had hit a child with a car and that she needed to talk to the investigator. When she said that she knew nothing about it and is living far from me in the village, they hung up. Be careful and warn your relatives about scammers!"
