“Czech” prospects of Uzhgorod

Today, the mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv met with the director of the Czech Center in Kyiv, the second secretary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine on culture Lucia Rzegorzikova, the chairman of the Czech House of the Region in Uzhgorod Pavel Musil and representatives of the Czech House – executive director Vladislav Yurina and a member of the Executive Council Ivan Terpay, the press service of the City Council informed.

Ms. Lucia stressed that the Czech party is interested in expanding and developing the activities of this organization. In particular, the guests suggested to hold in the autumn the festival of Czech beer and food in Uzhgorod, and asked for support from the city authorities.

Lucia Rzegorzikova also said about the audition for a Ukrainian-Czech film, which will be shot in Uzhgorod, in this regard, a very well-known Czech orchestra from the philharmonic society of the city of České Budějovice would come here, and they would like to play a concert in Uzhgorod.

At the meeting, they also talked about the assistance from the Czech House of the Region to one of the forms of Uzhgorod Specialized Secondary School No. 3 with in-depth study of English language, and other promising areas of cooperation.
