The festival "Czech Days-2018" has been taking place on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod for three days now. The choice of date is deliberate – 100 years ago, the Czechoslovak Republic was formed, and the territory of Transcarpathia was a part of it. The choice of the venue is also logical – the festival tents and stage are set in the middle of the Galagov neighbourhood, which was built in that period, and now it is a pride of our city. By the way, the organizers say that these days, similar festivals are taking place in two other cities – Prague and Brussels.
The weather in Uzhgorod was favourable for the holiday, the rain, which preceded the weekend, stopped, the bright autumn sun is shining, and therefore those, who have not yet managed to visit the festival, have the opportunity to plunge into the world of the Czech Republic today.
And we will note and illustrate some of the features of the holiday. First thing that draws attention is the organization of the space. Tents are arranged thoughtfully, without chaos.
Since the legendary beer is one of the symbols of the Czech Republic, it can be bought throughout the square.
But drinking beer also has certain physiological effects, right? And it’s well thought out too! I have never seen so many biotoilets near the festival locations in Uzhgorod. Prudent Czechs also installed hand washers.
Besides beer, they also offer traditional Czech snacks – knedliki, sausages with mustard and other delicious meals.
Tourists and local volunteers are usually smiling and friendly. As it should be at such events.
So, look at the photos, and after that, come to Narodna Square. Have a good time!
