Customs officers found almost 3 thousand packs of cigarettes in a shuttle bus

Today, at the customs post "Uzhgorod", officers of the Transcarpathian Customs prevented illegal export of tobacco products to the EU.

The cigarettes were being moved by the driver of a shuttle bus Mukachevo-Kosice. 

Based on the results of the analysis and risk assessment, the vehicle was taken out of the general flow for an in-depth inspection.  As a result, customs officers found 2020 packs of cigarettes "NZ" and 270 packs of "Compliment" without excise stamps of Ukraine hidden from customs control.

The cigarettes were in a specially made cache, behind the luggage compartment of the bus.

Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed acts aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, ie using specially manufactured caches.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations have been made, the cigarettes were seized.
