13 vintage gramophones from Transcarpathia will be added to the four hundred thousand fund of the museum.
The gramophones were confiscated on August 19, 2013, at the customs post "Tisa". A Ukrainian tried to carry these audio recording devices to Ukraine with personal belongings. But while he declared personal items, such as spoons and forks weighing 50 kg with a total cost of 100 euros, he did not mention orally or in writing the 13 gramophones.
Thus, the Ukrainian failed to provide accurate information about the goods carried by him across the customs border of Ukraine, which in this amount are subject to mandatory declaration and taxation. These actions had signs of violation of customs regulations stipulated in Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The court’s decision was unequivocal – a fine in amount of 100% of the value of the seized goods and confiscation thereof.
This, with reference to the press service of the State Fiscal Service in our region, was reported by the karpatnews.
