Customs marked down the BENTLEY’s customs value from more than 262 thousand hryvnia

The Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office instituted the criminal case against the leading inspector of the Customs Value Control and Customs Classification of Chop Customs Goods Department on the fact of negligence (Part 2, Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), – informs the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.

The Deputy Regional Prosecutor Vitalii Roman informed that in December 2012, when working as an inspector of the Customs Value Control and Customs Classification Department, the customs office worker allowed the BENTLEY’s registration at a lower price. The customs inspector conducted the customs payment calculation from the car’s price – 180 thousand euro, at the time when according to the information provided by the official manufacturer, importer and available to the State Customs Service information (which she was supposed to be guided), the cost of the car was almost 245 thousand euro.

The state suffered a loss of more than 262 thousand hryvnia as a result of such illegal customs workers’ actions.
