The head of the Regional State Administration signed the order "On the temporary procedure for border crossing at the checkpoints in Transcarpathian region by private vehicles with foreign registration for residents of Transcarpathian region".
According to the document posted on the site of Hennadiy Moskal, the Transcarpathian customs is recommended, until the legislative action on this issue, to apply equal requirements for crossing of the customs border by private cars with a foreign registration to both non-residents and residents of Transcarpathian region.
Transcarpathian Customs has already responded to this order. In the released statement, it is said that customs rules are mandatory for all citizens (residents / non-residents) who cross the customs border of Ukraine.
"According to the experts of the customs, the recommendation document signed by the head of the Regional State Administration, is contrary to the principles of the state customs affairs set out by Article 8 of the Customs Code of Ukraine and can not be considered by citizens as a document defining their rights and obligations when crossing the border, or as changes in the existing customs rules.
Therefore, the management of the Transcarpathian Customs asks citizens to adhere to the current rules of law, since the signing of the Order No. 562 did not change anything."
