This is more than half a million hryvnias or 9% more than that in 2012.
According to Serhiy Kharchenko, the Chief of the Chop customs, such results were achieved by reducing administrative barriers, modernization of customs services and the introduction of information technology, which significantly affects the reduction of paperwork and time needed for customs clearance. The positive trend is evidenced by statistics data for over 9 months of 2013.
"This year, specialists of income and taxes authorities have issued almost 74 thousand customs declarations. Of those, more than 67 thousand have been issued in electronic form, representing 91% of total amount", – the Head of the Chop customs said.
The average time of drawing up one customs declaration today is 49 minutes versus 67 minutes in the last year.
As a consequence, there is a positive business attitude to a more modern format of customs procedures, because it allows businesses to simplify clearance, reduce the time and cost of doing foreign trade.
Recently, the Cabinet approved a five-year strategy of the development of the Ministry of income and taxes of Ukraine. In particular, it states that the Ministry will continue to improve the system of electronic declaration of goods, procedures for the acceptance of electronic customs declaration for registration with the automatic assignment of a registration number.
