Members of Mukachevo city council approved the comprehensive program of development of culture and arts in the city of Mukachevo in 2016. Its total amount is 578,000 UAH. The funds are to be spent to support the city centralized library system, grant scholarships, prizes of Mukachevo City Council, Literary Award, the organization of cultural events, competitions, festivals, exhibitions of works of fine and folk art.
New festivals are also planned to be held in the city – the festival of jazz music, the festival "Literary Palette", and the festival of sweets.
