As uzhgorod.in previously reported, May 17, before the holding of the event "Arise, Ukraine!", trains to Kyiv, including ones from Transcarpathia, were detained in Striy. According to the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of the "Batkivshchyna" party, in Svalyava they also detained the train number 81 – allegedly, they were looking for a bomb. The Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of the "Batkivshchyna" party Oleksandr Kemenyash, who had encouraged Transcarpathians to take part in the campaign, said that the authorities in every way tried to prevent people to get to the capital.
Perhaps those who detained the trains were prompted to the idea of a bomb by parallels with the anti-fascist rally that was organized by the authorities on the same day in the capital.
