Creative “Process” from Biba-father and Biba-son: first results (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

An unusual exhibition opened in Uzhgorod. It declares: a new artist dynasty is forming in Transcarpathia.

Paintings by well-known artist Serhiy Biba and his son David are exhibited in the premises of the Consulate General of Slovakia in Uzhgorod. The name of the vernissage is "The Process".

– I am glad that my son became interested in my work and now he is not just learning from my experience and knowledge, but also introducing his own vision, his own ideas, – Biba Sr said. – Thus, we are in a constant development process, hence the title of the first joint exhibition.

– Why did you choose this location?

– We chose this chamber, compact format to start with. In the future, we plan more serious exhibitions in the big halls.

The Consul General of Slovakia in Uzhgorod, Miroslav Mozijta, told that such events had been taken place in the premises of the diplomatic institution for many years – paintings by both Transcarpathian and Slovak masters have been exhibited there.

The artists do not disclose which pictures are painted by whom and which were created by them together. This brings a certain intrigue. But, when you look at the works, you understand that Biba Jr. has inherited the talent of his father. And therefore, it can be said that another artist dynasty is forming in our region.
