This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".

In Ukraine, 5397 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours
As of October 8, 5397 new cases of infection have been registered in Ukraine. 93 people with confirmed diagnosis have died.
This is evidenced by the latest data published on the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
In total, during the entire period of the epidemic in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council, 244734 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed. 108233 people have recovered, 4690 people have died.
Most new cases were found in Kharkiv region (576), Kyiv city (422), Odesa (367), Sumy (312) and Dnipropetrovsk (306) regions.
