This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
27 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours in Uzhgorod.

40 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 818 are on outpatient treatment.
In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have collected 235 samples of biological materials for polymerase chain reaction test.
In Transcarpathia, during the past day, 165 persons were diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 9 are health care workers and 10 are children.
For the past 24hrs, 1 death among patients diagnosed with COVID-19 has been reported. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 329 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

As of October 17, 6410 new cases of infection have been registered in Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the latest data published on the website of the Coronavirus Epidemic Monitoring System of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
In total, during the entire period of the epidemic in Ukraine, according to the National Security and Defense Council, 293641 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed.
Most new cases were found in Odesa (506), Kharkiv (472), Dnipropetrovsk (464) regions, and the city of Kyiv (598).
