COVID-19 in Ukraine, Transcarpathia, and Uzhgorod as of May 15

In Transcarpathia, 816 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus.

During the last day, May 14, 336 people sought emergency medical care, 13 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 10 were suspected of having COVID-19.

This was reported by the director of the department of health care of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov.

Overall, as of 9:00 am on May 15, 2020, 816 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 189 are health care workers, 50 are children. 6292 polymerase chain reaction tests have been performed. 209 samples of biological materials were collected for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing and sent to the virological laboratory for examination.

120 patients have recovered. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Department of Health of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, 21 deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in the region

As for Uzhgorod, as of the morning of May 15, 298 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

7 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours. 69 coronavirus patients are health care workers. 

57 people have recovered  

6 persons have died.
  
49 Uzhgorod residents are hospitalized, 186 are on outpatient treatment, 

4 Uzhgorod citizens are in self-isolation 
 
In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have made 35 visits, 97 samples of biological materials have been collected for polymerase chain reaction test. In total, since the onset of the disease, 311 visits have been made, 1325 samples of biological materials have been collected for PCR tests.

According to the Public Health Center, as of 9:00 am on May 15, there have been 17330 laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine, of which 476 were fatal, 4473 patients have recovered. During the day, 483 new cases were confirmed. Currently, coronavirus disease has been detected in:

The tests were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 15, 2020, the Center has received 1252 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases.
