Kyiv District Administrative Court banned peaceful meetings in the center of Kyiv – in particular, under the Presidential Administration, the Verkhovna Rada and the Ukrainian House from July 4 to July 9.
On Wednesday, the representatives of the state executive service read out to the action’s participants the judicial decision at the Ukrainian House on the prohibition of peaceful gatherings.
According to the ‘Ukrainian Truth’ correspondent, the representatives of the state executive service department arrived to the Ukrainian House approximately at 1 p.m.
They read out the court decision on the prohibition of peaceful gatherings at the Ukrainian House:
‘To limit the right for peaceful meetings by prohibiting to citizens Toruba Vadym Mykolayovych and other entities, who implement the right to peaceful assembly activities, from July 4 to July 9, 2012 near the buildings of Verkhovna Rada, the Presidential Administration, Cabinet of Ministers, the center of business and cultural cooperation ‘Ukrainian house’ and ‘European Square’ – was said in the requirement of state executive service.
According to the document, the requirement is based on the resolution of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv from July 3, 2012.
The opposition tried to convince law enforcement officers that the given resolution does not relate to the participants of ‘language’ actions, and there is no citizen Toruba among the protesters.
‘We had our application for action submitted by divisions of Kiev parties ‘Batkivshchyna’ (‘Motherland’) and ‘Narodnyi Rukh Ukrainy’ (‘People’s Movement of Ukraine’) – said the deputy Yuriy Odarchenko.
In his turn the deputy Andriy Parubiy believes that this resolution can resolve the hands of police.
‘This could be a pretext for stripping square in front of the Ukrainian House’ – he said.
Several hundred of ‘Berkut’ representatives lined up along the street Khreshchatyk in front of Ukrainian House.
It is known that Viktor Yanukovych has birthday on July 9. He turns 62 this year.
