“Cossack beyond the Danube” will be performed at the Rgional Philharmonic (Announcement)

This bold and large-scale project is being developed by the Philharmonic without the involvement of any invited performers. The Philharmonic have never done anything like that before, although they often look for new forms of musical and artistic experimentation. Currently, active preparations for the premiere are taking place: the work on the stage design, the selection of costumes, manufacturing of the necessary details. And, of course, all artists – musicians, singers, dancers, performers of major parts – are very excited. Arias, duets, ensembles, scenes with the choir, dance numbers accompanied by a symphony orchestra – all this requires not only perfect mastery of material, but also maximum coordination. However, the very participation in this project is extremely encouraging for all participants. For each of them, it is a kind of test for professionalism and artistic maturity.

So, November 5 (Wednesday) at 18:30 on the stage of the main musical institution of the region:

Semen Gulak-Artemowski "Cossack beyond the Danube" (comic opera with three acts, concert performance).

The project involves the Philharmonic Orchestra, the Honoured Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir (artistic director – Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk)

Hopefully, the "Cossack beyond the Danube" will be an outstanding event in the cultural life of our region and will be included to the current repertoire of the Philharmonic. Thus, the first performance of the genius S.Gulak-Artemowski opera will be followed by next ones.
