Transcarpathian customs officers seized cigarettes and the vehicle from a citizen of Ukraine, who tried to export the tobacco products to the EU. The cost of the cigarettes is 19,750 UAH, the cost of the commercial vehicle is 353,634 UAH.
The citizen drove to the customs office and chose for customs clearance the "red corridor". In the declaration and during the oral survey he did not report carrying goods or items prohibited or restricted for movement across the customs border. During the customs control, customs officers found "MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER 316 CDI" 1000 packs of domestically made tobacco products with excise stamps hidden from customs control. The cigarettes were hidden behind decorative plating of the side walls of the minibus cargo compartment.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine using specially manufactured caches. These actions contain signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The case will be sent to court.
