Cold spell, rain and sleet are expected in the Carpathians

Storm warning has been announced for May 13-14 in the Carpathian Mountains since the arrival of the cyclone from Scandinavia, which will bring rains and sleet together with the cold snap.

"Due to an active cyclone from Scandinavia, a sudden change of weather is expected: on May 13-15 – rain, sometimes heavy and in the highlands of Carpathians – sleet, thunderstorms, strengthening north-westerly wind of 15-20 m /s", – said UKRINFORM.

It is broadcasted that on Monday night the temperature will drop to 2-7 degrees above zero on surface of the soil and the air may freeze, the temperature being 0-2 degrees below zero. Afternoon temperatures will be 9-14 degrees above zero.
